How to size a growing foot

  1. Measure in the afternoon, when feet are largest, using Nike’s tracing method.
  2. Leave about a thumb’s width past the longest toe.
  3. Check again every few months; kids’ feet can grow a size in a season.

Questions people ask

What size is grade school in LeBrons?

Grade school, also called big kids, runs 3.5Y to 7Y on Nike’s US chart. After 7Y a child moves to men’s sizes, where a 7Y is roughly a men’s 7.

What is the difference between GS and PS LeBrons?

GS (grade school) covers big kids, 3.5Y to 7Y. PS (preschool) covers little kids, 10.5C to 3 at Kids Foot Locker. PS pairs often have easier closures for small hands.

Should I buy kids’ LeBrons a size up?

Leave about a thumb’s width past the longest toe, not a full size. Too much room makes the heel slip and can cause blisters and rolled ankles. For the Witness 7 big kids pair, Nike itself suggests a half size up because it fits small.

Are kids’ LeBrons the same as adult LeBrons?

They share the name and look. Kids’ versions can differ in materials and cushioning, so read the listing details rather than assuming the adult specs.
