Short answer
Start with your usual Nike size. Measure both feet the way Nike describes (trace on paper, heel to longest toe, use the larger foot). Then adjust: wide feet try a half size up as well; the Witness 9 fits narrow to regular feet best (The Hoops Geek); Nike says the Witness 7 big kids pair runs small and suggests a half size up. For the LeBron 20, one reviewer says half up for wide feet and another says do not size up because the heel slips.
Step 1: measure the way Nike says
Paper against a wall
Tape a sheet of paper to a hard floor with one edge against a wall. Carpet lets the paper shift.
Wear your game socks
Stand with your heel against the wall and weight on both feet, knees slightly bent.
Trace with the pen upright
An angled pen adds width and length that is not there.
Mark heel and longest toe
The longest toe is not always the big toe.
Measure both feet
Measure between the marks in centimeters and use the larger foot.

Step 2: adjust for the model
Fit notes by model

| LeBron 20 | Hoops Geek: true to size, half up for wide feet. Solefeed: do not size up | Usual size; wide feet try half up |
| Witness 9 | Hoops Geek: fits narrow to regular feet best | Usual size; wide feet try half up |

Step 3: check the fit at home
- Toe: about a thumb’s width between the longest toe and the end.
- Heel: rise onto your toes. If the heel lifts more than a little, the shoe is too long or not laced high enough.
- Width: no pinch at the ball of the foot when you stand and when you crouch.
- Socks: try them with the socks you play in. Thick basketball socks can take up half a size.

Questions people ask
Do LeBron shoes run big or small?
Most recent LeBrons run close to true to size. Specific models differ: Nike says the Witness 7 big kids version fits small, and reviewers split on the LeBron 20. Check the model page before you order.
Should I go up half a size in LeBrons?
Only if your feet are wide or the model is known to run small. For regular feet, a longer shoe usually means more heel slip, which Solefeed flags on the LeBron 20.
How do I measure my foot for Nike shoes?
Nike says to tape paper to a hard floor against a wall, stand with your heel to the wall wearing the socks you will play in, trace the foot with the pen upright, mark the heel and the longest toe, and measure between them. Do both feet and use the larger number.
Are LeBron sizes the same as other Nike basketball shoes?
They use Nike’s standard US sizing, so the size chart is the same. The fit (width, heel, toe box) still varies by model.
